« Contrary to the photographer who captures the moment, my intention as a painter is to "eternalise" the present. »
Self-taught by choice as much as by temperament, I have built my painting far from academic paths. It is in front of the easel, through observation, experimentation and constant questioning, that I have gradually found my own language.
My painting is deeply figurative. I seek presence rather than resemblance. Light, glazes, and layering of colors give rise to images that invite the viewer to slow down.
The female body becomes a language to evoke freedom, fragility, confidence, or silence. I am less interested in telling a story than in opening a space for contemplation, where everyone can recognize their own emotion.
