TEKLA is an upcycling sculpture made for the "Matières" collection in 2017.
Soda cans are a scourge outside, thrown in, in the sand dunes, in front of your houses in your trash cans ..... once compacted and artistically reprocessed here they are back on the front of the stage but this time here they matter they are put on a pedestal, in the center of your attention. Artistic recycling allows the waste of one day to become the stars of tomorrow.… This challenge of transformation motivates the artist who naturally enjoys finding the final work by looking at the basic product. His great creativity allows him to see the works of art of tomorrow through obsolete objects.

Isabelle Renou is a painter and sculptor based in Morocco who has exhibited both nationally and in France. Describing her artistic process as "transforming matter like an alchemist", she enjoys doing the extraordinary with the ordinary. Employing recycled obsolete objects, giving them life, and adding other dimensions to items of the past, is at the heart of Renou's expression. Her diverse compositions are also highlighted with acrylics and oils on wooden supports.
