This cell is "The" cell responsible for the Covid 19 pandemic.
This light installation in threads of plastic bottles is a sleight of hand by the artist who transcends evil into good. The upcycling of plastic bottles symbolizes the diseased cell which attacks the human body. The light regulated on progressive highlights the sphere of plastic laces which light up like the human lung which swells and the heart which beats and to the rhythm of the light… which turns on and off at regular intervals .
This Cell is a snub of the artist towards disease. Light opposes black, heartbeat opposes death. The Cell plays with the gravity of the situation by ridiculing it and transports the audience to another dimension. Art ! The joy of living wins us over and we look at this work as a Christmas garland that lights up our interiors in these festive times disturbed by the global plagues.

Isabelle Renou is a painter and sculptor based in Morocco who has exhibited both nationally and in France. Describing her artistic process as "transforming matter like an alchemist", she enjoys doing the extraordinary with the ordinary. Employing recycled obsolete objects, giving them life, and adding other dimensions to items of the past, is at the heart of Renou's expression. Her diverse compositions are also highlighted with acrylics and oils on wooden supports.
