ABBEY PETER
One, a deep blackcurrant, gleams like a fruity night. Its relaxed posture, arms raised behind its head, gives it the air of a dreamer resting in its own light. The dark patina embraces the terracotta and creates velvety reflections.
The other, a fiery red, is more grounded, more earthy. With his cap and keffiyeh, he evokes a fellow traveler ready to share a story. His red patina reveals… the raw material like an ember that still breathes.
Both rest on a solid oak base, whose natural texture softens their brilliance and connects them to something living. The wood becomes their stage, their anchor, the organic link between these two colorful personalities.
In this encounter: blackcurrant and red, terracotta and patina, wood and light, the companions form a poetic, almost animated duo, like two souls shaped by the hand and awakened by the gaze.
Isabelle Rivière, guided from childhood by a rich imagination, worked for many years in finance and law before returning to her true artistic calling in 2016. A self-taught artist, she discovered in working with clay and painting an instinctive language where forms and colors emerge naturally. Her creativity was quickly recognized with a Medal of Honor from the Museums and Culture of Europe. Her world unfolds along two paths: sculpture, imbued with spirituality and timelessness, where each sculpted woman embodies memory and freedom; and abstract painting, intuitive and liberated, created without a brush, where vibrant colors burst forth like raw emotions. A humanist and utopian, nourished by philosophy, Isabelle Rivière conceives her creations as spiritual relics, fragments of eternity that perpetuate the voice of the ancients and offer it to the present.
