About this artwork
Bursts of sun pierce the morning mist, fluorescent rushes rustle as insects, lizards and other amphibians pass by.
It smells of water, fresh, life ...
Half-living lichens plunge into the black water.
On the surface, large leaves, tattooed with ashy green and oxidized yellow labyrinths, float.
Everything here is green, all green!
« "As long as I can explain why things are in a certain place in my paintings, I think it is not good. It must be free, it must become a mystery. -Per Kirkeby" »
Isabelle Schenckbecher-Quint is a French painter whose art has been featured nationally in both solo and group exhibitions. Her art imbues the elemental themes such as the cycle of nature, composition, decomposition and metamorphosis. Schenckbecher-Quint allows the expression of her feelings and moods to dictate the colour palette and projects a pictoral writing onto canvas. She uses acrylic paints because it is the only possible technique that adapts to her “dazzling”.
