About this artwork
I had the concept of reimagining the main gods of Greek mythology in today's world. My goal was to illustrate how, in the absence of reverence for the principles they embodied—such as beauty, the sea, the weather, or war—these forces have become distorted, misunderstood, or even neglected. Perhaps, in doing so, we need to rediscover the divine in all things and learn to honor what once inspired awe and respect.

Bomher, a surrealist painter from the Székely (Szekler) community, a small Hungarian ethnic group in Romania. His distinctive technique blends whimsical and surreal elements, striking a balance that brings comfort in discomfort. Infused with sincerity and light-hearted symbols, his paintings seek to ease societal stressors, offering a sense of healing and enrichment. On weekends, he likes to live for his second muse, music and like to make gigs as a DJ and does it passionately with vinyls.
