VIZZINI, painting from the series, “The Tears of Sicily”
This place is in the bowl made by hills trying to be hidden from other worlds. It seemed real strange to me. As I was driving further I found the point where that place looked to me unbelievably beautiful. Why is it hidden from other worlds in that bowl? Where are the people? I asked myself. It looks left to itself empty without any leaving sole. Neither the birds flew over. It hit my heart… and my eyes were soaked in tears. Then I used my ability to paint it not thinking what would become of this painting in the future.

Ivan A. Tomicic is a painter and sculptor based in the United States whose works have been exhibited nationally, in France, Austria, and Italy. His artistic practice takes two distinct forms of expression through the use of oils and watercolors. Tomicic believes that if "oils are an orchestra then watercolors are the classical guitars or a blues harmonica". One of his favorite themes is America's Wild West, which captured his imagination as a child and continues to do so.
