I stumbled across the image of a cross in relief while working with the gridding technique. This was a deliberate rendering of a face within that relief as if trapped behind.

Ivan Bridges is a promising newcomer from the United States whose paintings have been featured in solo and group shows nationally. Inspired by the work of Francis Bacon, Bridges developed his artistic practice creating semi-abstract portraits in watercolor and acrylic on canvas.
