Ivan Korshunov is an award-winning Russian artist whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in the Netherlands, Belgium, Latvia, and China. He is fascinated by the concept that art is a complex combination of objective reality and subjective perception. Korshunov's hyperrealist paintings explore this conception by anachronistically layering recognizable imagery from history, religion, and contemporary popular culture. He creates using the traditional techniques of the Old Masters, primarily employing oils on canvas.
