About this artwork
This scene from the life of Saint Bernard (twelfth century), is traditionally depicted at the moment when the saint receives a stream of milk from a statue of the Virgin and Child, on the altar. Through multi-media collage, I approach this theme in a new way. My goal is to evoke meanings that have an erotic or Freudian connotation.
