This work speaks of transformation—the possibility that what we consider waste can rediscover purpose and beauty. The angel becomes a symbol of hope, reminding us that creation does not arise from perfection, but from the ability to recognize potential within the discarded. Suspended between technology and spirituality, past and future, it reminds us that nothing is truly lost as long as imagination can give it new meaning.
Ivan Mitrašinović is a self-taught painter and sculptor from Belgrade who masterfully combines painting and sculpture using recycled materials to infuse rejected objects with new spiritual significance. His technique draws from a deep understanding of sculptural form, space, and mass, lending a distinct presence and tangible quality to his pieces. By transforming discarded materials into precious art, he conveys transformation, rebirth, and a powerful message of hope—reminding us that beauty and meaning can always emerge from what has been cast aside.
