About this artwork
Art is energy that explodes within and there is the need to externalize it. The language I have chosen is a pictorial synthesis between image and word. The painted word loses its literal meaning and the reader has to find his own personal meaning. Very gestural pictorial work made on thick Finnish cardboard and mounted on a rigid black cardboard support.

Ivana Urso is a contemporary Italian artist whose work has transcended national borders, with exhibitions in Bulgaria, Russia, and France. Her research stems from the dialogue between matter and imagination and explores space as a physical and symbolic dimension.
From previous lunar visions and circular forms, his work today evolves into the Oltre il Bianco series: no longer within the circle, but in an external space. Layered material backgrounds interact with subtle black marks and essential chromatic hints, generating subtle tensions and perceptive depth. The works invite a slow, contemplative vision, transforming white into an active field of balance, light, and form.
