About this artwork
The work explores the encounter between two opposing yet complementary dimensions: Earth, solid and rooted, and Air, light and ever-moving. Through the contrast of warm and cool tones, the circular composition suggests a dynamic balance, in which matter dissolves into light and breath becomes form.
The silver leaf acts as a bridge between these two elements, capturing and reflecting light to evoke a sense of suspension, as if time had momentarily… frozen.
The fluid movements of acrylic colors reflect the continuous transformation of nature: what is solid opens up, what is impalpable takes shape.
"Terra Aria" is a visual dialogue between weight and lightness, roots and breath: an invitation to rediscover the harmony between matter and the invisible.

Ivana Urso is a contemporary Italian artist whose work has transcended national borders, with exhibitions in Bulgaria, Russia, and France. Her research stems from the dialogue between matter and imagination and explores space as a physical and symbolic dimension.
From previous lunar visions and circular forms, his work today evolves into the Oltre il Bianco series: no longer within the circle, but in an external space. Layered material backgrounds interact with subtle black marks and essential chromatic hints, generating subtle tensions and perceptive depth. The works invite a slow, contemplative vision, transforming white into an active field of balance, light, and form.
