About this artwork
The subject of still life has become a pretext for me to convey the passage of time and the return to the past in a symbolic form.
The past and family history were expressed through furniture and objects against the wall of the interior of the house, as if contemporary life and its forced energy overlapped with what is already the past.
In this painting I refer to the tradition of interior painting and still lifes in the history of painting, and… in particular is inspired by the art of Vilhelm Hammershoi, a Danish painter of silence and contemplative living interiors of his era.
« I keep a distance from the chaos of the world and the rush of everyday life, in order to go beyond the reality around us with my art. »
Izabela Rudzka is an experienced artist based in Poland whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Denmark, Italy, and Germany. She describes the mission of her artistic practice as being to convey the power of synergy in a comprehensive human cognition of the surrounding world and to promote the common beginning of science and art in this cognition. Rudzka's distinctive style fuses impressionism with post-impressionism and abstraction.
