About this artwork
In my paintings from the project "Time Reflections of History" I refer to the history of Silesia region (now in Poland, Europe ) from 100 years ago and their contemporary landscape. At that time, the borders of countries in these area where shaped and that was the subject of interest in my projects. I created paintings in which the imagination is combined with the messages of history, I discovered layers of the past in these images and combine…
them with a contemporary view of the landscape. In my paintings I present historical events from a hundred years ago, finding archival photos and combining them with my structural painting technique. I show heroes and ordinary people who create the history of the regions I paint pictures about. History by definition is a message of the past, my painting history (story) is touching the past with the subconsciousness of creation. The presented image shows a bird's-eye view of Mount St. Anna, in Silesia region, in my painting interpretation.

Izabela Rudzka is an experienced artist based in Poland whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Denmark, Italy, and Germany. She describes the mission of her artistic practice as being to convey the power of synergy in a comprehensive human cognition of the surrounding world and to promote the common beginning of science and art in this cognition. Rudzka's distinctive style fuses impressionism with post-impressionism and abstraction.
