About this artwork
In "Curved Planes," I present a sculpture that is as powerful as it is reduced, unfolding a quiet poetry through the means of industrial design. The work consists of three curved hollow bodies made of welded sheet steel. Their sequence and staggered arrangement create exciting transitions between body and space, surface and volume.
Each of the three levels is concavely curved, yet does not appear static; rather, it seems to unfold outward from an… imaginary center. The delicate staggering of the elements creates a rhythmic structure reminiscent of architectural terracing or geological formations. Despite its massiveness, the sculpture does not appear heavy or rigid—on the contrary: the curvature lends it a subtle movement, almost an inner vibration.
