About this artwork
In this work I explored the juxtaposition of the warm glow of dusk with the unfathomable depths of night. Using acrylic, I layered abstract textures to evoke a feeling of mystery and contemplation. Vibrant colors invite reflection and suggest the fleeting passage of time, while dark shades anchor the room in a sense of tranquility. This painting is not just a visual, but an invitation to an inner journey, promising to bring a captivating and contemplative…
energy into any space.

« There is a magical moment when the will seems to diverge in favor of an image that is essential. »
Jean-Claude Bernard is an award-winning French painter whose work is exhibited nationally and included in permanent collections worldwide. Working with a palette knife and acrylics, Bernard layers soft colors and gestural forms to create abstract paintings that evoke a sense of movement and stillness. On his canvases, human forms and gentle landscapes emerge organically, sometimes almost hidden among the textured knife strokes.
