About this artwork
These assemblages are done objectively, meaning I don't start with a concept, I let the physical aesthetics of found objects guide the composition. After the work is done and hanging on the wall I will step back and contemplate, looking for possible significances. And I often solicit interpretations from others. The title, EMP Shield, is from a sci fi writer's interpretation - a warrior's shield use to deflect electro-magnetic pulse beams.
