About this artwork
The eerie beauty of this dilapidated jetty next to the beachfront in what was once my home town stuck with me through my formative years. It was situated next to a raunchy tavern where I spent many a fine evening once I had come of age. One winter night I left the clamorous warmth of boozy camaraderie and stepped into the icy blue night to capture something more intoxicating, beyond time or rotgut whiskey, in an effort to quench some greater Thirst.
