About this artwork
A study of one of the moons of Jupiter, with its distinct scars and impact craters. This is part of the Luna series, that pays homage to gazing with awe at our celestial neighbours. I wanted to choose a material that would sing the brightest and against the blackest of blacks, in keeping with our own humbling position relative to the universe. The piece is a suspended glossy copper acrylic disc mounted onto a custom frame.

« My work is the study and recreation of landscapes, either real or imaginary. I paint to connect to these landscapes and be present in them. »
Jack Edmonds is an artist based in the United Kingdom whose paintings have been featured in solo and group exhibitions in England.
