About this artwork
The name, as it implies is primarily a geological study but with a more violent manifestation of this theme. Copper and gold fuse to create a maelstrom of form, ranging from delicate structures to over-arching gestures. I wanted to create the sense of rock strata being pulled and distorted with great force as you might see in the cross section of metamorphic rock.

« My work is the study and recreation of landscapes, either real or imaginary. I paint to connect to these landscapes and be present in them. »
