This piece was inspired by a dance photo -- it celebrates the power of the female and the beauty of the female form.
Like all of Jackie’s work, this piece takes a modern, contemporary approach to the power of the female body – both figurative and abstract at the same time. Jackie’s primary inspiration is dance – modern ballet, hip-hop and jazz -- dance that’s raw with energy. She’s not trying to recreate the dance or the dancer, but instead to… capture her energy and strength.
