About this artwork
With a powerful view from above, the work immerses us in a labyrinthine landscape that extends to the horizon, full of enigmas and symbolism. At first glance, the geometric grid seems like a succession of blocks and dead-end paths. But looking carefully, a hidden plot is revealed: the structure of the labyrinth is actually a giant QR code, an icon of the digital world and one of the symbols of digital contemporaneity.
At the heart of the composition,… a solitary and mysterious figure stands silently.
She is lost, suspended between choice and renunciation, between exploration and confusion.
The absence of an obvious path suggests an existential condition: the difficulty of orienting oneself in the chaos of the present, among infinite possibilities and no certain direction.
The contrast between the raw materiality of the support, obtained with thick layers of dried earth, and the clarity of the underlying design evokes a dialogue between real and virtual, between nature and code.

Jacopo Berlendis, architect and painter, explores the fusion between design and art by cultivating natural and transformative themes. He uses earth and vegetation, modeling them in three-dimensional works which with acrylics and pigments interpret landscapes animated by a powerful physicality. His creations evoke a feeling of regeneration, revealing underground worlds of sublime material metamorphosis.
