About this artwork
“The discovery” is a 150 x 100 horizontal work
In this canvas I have taken up natural elements: the roots of the trees along the river below my house.
I wanted to recreate the atmosphere of a forest with the outlined presence of a temple, which recalls South-East Asian settings and mystical and remote atmospheres.
As in other works, the mysterious component is very strong.
The material base of the painting is chalk, giving a rough and variegated… background.
The colors are given by various layers until reaching this natural shade, with the glare that emphasizes the architecture of the temple.
