Bless your heart! This series of nine paintings titled Southern Accent takes a light hearted look at the colloquialisms of my Southern heritage. I’ve lived in the southern United States almost my entire life; with the majority of time spent in the deep South. It goes without saying that my vocabulary is sprinkled with many “y’all’s,” “heavens to Betsy,” and even an occasional “I’m fit to be tied.” These paintings are a fun and lively celebration…

Jacqueline Doyle Allison is an American artist whose paintings have been featured in numerous solo exhibitions in the United States.
