About this artwork
This painting is exploring aquatic themes and the microscopic minutiae of life. There is the illusion here of viewing an underwater seascape, looking through deep water or sea bubbles in the surf. The little circular shapes in the design suggest sea-creatures and cellular life forms as well as making references to the otherworldliness of the building blocks of life. Jacquelyn wanted the painting to trigger uplifting feelings of joy and bring happiness…
to the soul.
