About this artwork
Every body knows the feeling of past happiness, the moment a disaster occurs.
Tange works by preparing the canvas in the traditional way. That is, with bone glue and chalk. He mostly works with oil paint, which he uses to create depth in his artworks. Depth is created by painting in multiple layers. Tange's paintings are part of a world which is recognizable and, at the same time, strange. Recurring themes in his work are: love, the struggle of… man in the difficult “new” world, the strength of women, urbanization, loneliness and the way men and women live together or apart.
