About this artwork
In this piece, graphite dances across the paper, expressing a confluence of the abstract and geometric. I was driven by the raw emotions of introspection and the complexity of human cognition. Each stroke is a sediment of thought, layered to invite contemplation. This creation isn't just visual; it's a catalyst for reflection, poised to bring a dynamic and thought-provoking energy into your space.

« It's not what you see, it's the way that you see it. »
Simon Williams is a talented British artist who runs the Camden-based JakBox gallery. He is fascinated by time and the objects that surround us, and holds a deep appreciation for the “accidental aesthetics” created by the city: the marks that industry, commerce and everyday life leave behind. His textural takes on pavements and other elements of urban living encourage the viewer to rediscover beauty in our immediate environments.
