American painter Jakob Gold's interest in art began watching his father design and make suits - the scraps of which Gold would salvage to make into collages. Using a wide range of media, including textiles, acrylics, oils, photographs, and recycled materials, Gold hopes that his pieces can work at the junction of personal and universal emotions.
