I reworked this painting recently, adding extra layers of thin paint and strengthening the 3 dimensionality of the main form, the tied and knotted canvas.

James Cummins is an established artist from the United Kingdom whose paintings have been featured in solo and group shows internationally. Cummins first discovered art as a kid at the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool and was inspired to paint and sculpt. He has defined his current style in minimalist abstract works in acrylic or oil on canvas in sparse color palettes of black, white, and grey.
