About this artwork
James lived in Vancouver Canada for a number of years, and was inspired to paint this piece after watching the Salmon in the rivers of British Columbia. James says "I don’t think anyone who has witnessed the salmon run as its called, will ever forget this amazing natural event. At times there are so many fish in the spawning pools it looks as if you could walk on them without getting wet feet".
