About this artwork
When painting with no reference to life, there is a dialogue between me and the canvas. I do not want to complicate the conversation, so I limit my palette. This process is quiet, there is only the hum from my ceiling fan, and an occasional bird chirp out my window. I hope the viewer can feel the quietness that calmed me during this painting.
