Abstract / landscape in oil with metallic leaf. On wood board with a wooden frame. This started as most of my work does as a an idea of a feeling. The painting as it progressed clarified that feeling. I painted intuitively responding to the colours and shapes until the painting reached a point of clarity for me. It has been described as an optimistic painting --but with many paths and journeys ahead I think it is about the unknown future and the…
present uncertainty we all face but I also see it as ultimately optimistic. There is a fairy tale feel about it and of course myths and fairy tales often show the way through difficulties.
