About this artwork
This painting is a view of the Swallow Tail Lighthouse at the head of Grand Manan Island, in Canada. I was so taken by the strong construction of the lighthouse - which is supported by the cables that you see in the painting. The lighthouse had stood as a guide to ships coming to the island for decades.
