In the painting series «Faces», the focus was on facial expressions. Precise but rough brushstrokes create space for the viewer’s own creative imagination. However, the facial expression of the person portrayed generally conveys a sensual and profound aura. The series was inspired by the work of the well-known artist «Henrik Aa. Uldalen».
In the painting «Faces Pt. 1 – 5» the aim was to integrate the faces of people with different genders and cultural… backgrounds and to put them all into the same context. The underlying message: we are all human and love is love.

Janosch Thalmann is a painter and draftsman based in Switzerland whose works have been featured in solo exhibitions both nationally nad in the United States. He describes his art as being direct reflection of his feelings, emotions, passions, and thoughts. However, ocassionally Thalmann explores certain topics that occupy him. His distinctive expressionist and figurative compositions are created using oils on wood or paper.
