About this artwork
In the painting series «Faces», the focus was on facial expressions. Precise but rough brushstrokes create space for the viewer’s own creative imagination. However, the facial expression of the person portrayed generally conveys a sensual and profound aura.
In the painting «Faces Pt. 9», a woman is portrayed looking directly at the viewer. It’s the same woman that’s portrayed on «Faces Pt. 8».
