About this artwork
This work comes from the series "modern venus", the artist's current exhibition. For the present work, the artist worked with charcoal pencils. In keeping with the artist's style, the work was kept minimalist and created with targeted strokes. The work depicts a woman who opens her body slightly to the side and sticks out her arms. The work was given the name "tipsy dancer" because the side opening and the slight inclination should give the observer…
the feeling that the figure is dancing. The bosom was deliberately colored black to draw the observer's attention to the woman's posture.
In addition to the present work, the artist has created a series of wire sculptures that spatially depict the "tipsy dancer" pose.
The work was framed under museum glass with a black aluminum frame.
