Aurora is the ancient Greek goddess of the dawn, and here the figure of Aurora is portrayed frontally with a mountain backdrop on the horizon. This piece is a luminous, subtle painting, with delicate rendering of drapery, figure and foliage. The landscape portrays a cool, wintry palette that evokes the coming of early spring.
The piece comes with a beautiful custom frame hand-picked by the artist. It is a classic frame that combines ornate detailing… with a subdued palette of copper and ochre tones with silver accents. The swirling pattern in the detailing pleasingly mimics the foliage in the painting. Together the painting and frame convey a sense of refined elegance and luminosity.
