Javier Montes is an award-winning artist based in Spain whose paintings have been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions nationally. Creating in themed series, he cites atmosphere and the space in which we move as being what fascinates him the most. In his works, Montes most often portrays absence rather than presence, as well as the traces that people leave behind. While he does employ acrylics, watercolors, and pen, he prefers to create using oils.
