About this artwork
Temples in the South of India, apart from their religious and spiritual significance are more than worship places. They reflect the culture and captures the colours of the faith of the people around, giving a glimpse of the spiritual side of the surrounding space — a journey to a temple is just one of the ways to experience these seldom visited spaces that reside within.

« Inception can neither be mechanised nor automated, nor can it be tamed — untapped potential knows no bounds. »
Jay Menon is a passionate Indian painter who has exhibited his work in South Africa, India and Mauritius. His body of work contains a mix of abstract expressions and figurative depictions of mythological motifs, goddesses and legends. He creates subverted representations of familiar figures, intended to shock and amuse the viewer, and attempts more broadly to communicate the illusion of reality.
