About this artwork
Cassandra had the gift of foresight. However, having refused Apollo's advances, he ensured that her predictions went unheeded. With this painting, I wanted to depict the fact that Cassandra warns us that the earth is "bleeding," but her prediction is ignored by humankind.

Jean Gabriel Mondié, a self-taught sculptor initially trained in painting and painting restoration at Drouot, draws his inspiration from classical tradition and anatomical power, using primarily bronze.
