Jean-Jacques André, graduate of the National School of Fine Arts of Saint-Etienne, composes with the street. Exploiting tearing and collage techniques, he is inspired by Street Art, Pop Art, Matisse, and Russian constructivists, proposing an artistic transcendence of reality. Sublimating the memory of people and cities, his works offer a translation of stories with intention and sensitivity. His recent creations reveal his deep connection with his native Savoy through refined and poetic “interior landscapes”.
