About this artwork
With this artwork, I wanted to capture the fluid and elusive essence of the wind through India ink. The minimalist simplicity contrasts with the inner complexity, creating an atmosphere of subtle movement and profound emotion. It will bring a gentle, poetic, almost meditative energy to your space, inviting reflection and serenity. This drawing is inspired by Kaija Saariaho's symphonic poem "Let the Wind Speak."
Jean Pierre Benzekri, a painter and draftsman trained in Ramat Hasharon and later a theater set designer, blends the art of drawing with a three-dimensional exploration detached from the theatrical framework. He uses engraving, sculpture, and drawing, embracing a style close to abstraction where his works become visual scores, imbued with a musical and sonic rhythm. His work offers the viewer an experience of spiritual, sensual, and generous wandering, inviting profound contemplation.
