About this artwork
In Whispers of Light, I work with acrylic paints in a delicate interplay of application and withdrawal. Light brushstrokes, transparent layers, and deliberately washed-out sections allow the light to shimmer on the canvas—like reflections that appear briefly and then disappear again.
I deliberately use acrylic as a medium to react with ease and speed – traces of color emerge intuitively, almost like a dance, yet remain controlled within the space… of the composition.
This work is not an image of light – it is a reflection of its movement, its breath.
For me, painting is like breathing. I never learned it—I've just always done it. Art has been with me for as long as I can remember. It's my language, my refuge, my innermost home.
I don't paint because I want to. I paint because I have to. Because colors tell me what words can't. Because every brushstroke carries a piece of my soul.
My works emerge intuitively, in the moment—raw, honest, and full of emotion. I work with acrylics and oil pastels, often on large canvases, because my emotions need space. I love the unpredictable, the spontaneous, the authentic.
My greatest hope is that my art touches people. That it resonates with something in other people—a thought, a memory, a feeling. If that succeeds, then my painting has found its way. And so have I.
