About this artwork
This metal mask is a mix of urban and classical themes being derived from recycled auto parts and named for a Greek god.A manual clutch housing was the beginning of this mask. Cutting the housing to give both shape and depth to the eyes, the artist cut out parts of the rim as "hair". Using the finely cut tines of a clutch diaphragm spring, the artist defined the mouth and referred to ancient armor. BACCHUS is a rust patinaed wall sculpture portrait.

« I strive for the directness of children with the sensibilities of an adult. I want as little separation as possible between myself and the creative process. »
