About this artwork
The metal mask, DIABLO, started with cut recycled exhaust pipes. Through trying various "eyes", the artist found that the eyes that best fit were formed by a head gasket. The eye holes were filled in with pieces from a torque converter. The demon qualities were heightened by using marbled red and black paint. Antiquity through rust.

« I strive for the directness of children with the sensibilities of an adult. I want as little separation as possible between myself and the creative process. »
