About this artwork
Sturdy recycled auto parts form the mask, WARRIOR who survives through strength. Manual clutch housings provide deeply stamped and punched steel circular shapes that can be manipulated into brow/eye formations. The elegantly formed tines of a diaphragm spring are altered and combined with the structure of the upper face. This steel portrait, wall sculpture of endurance is finished with a rust patina.

« I strive for the directness of children with the sensibilities of an adult. I want as little separation as possible between myself and the creative process. »
