About this artwork
Paintings with an abundance of "negative space" have always intrigued me. They seem simplistic yet risky as there history is harder to conceal. The build up of texture from previous layers add to the subtle mystery of this piece. Sides painted white and varnished to protect against sunlight and dust. Wired and ready to hang. Tover places so much of his emotional and physical energy into a piece, that part of his being remains with it. He approaches composition with no preconceived plans and starts 'destroying' a canvas to see where the journey takes him.
