The painting "Eclectic Dream" is purely driven by colors and intends to flood you with color.
Antic creates pattern-like paintings with stencil shapes as a repetitive pattern. Her intension to build different atmospheres and moods with her artworks. Like a hypnosis that use moving pictures or a repetitive melodies, she wants to drag you into the painting and flood you with color. You may feel hypnotized or even think that the forms are moving.
She… will also pull your attention to the imperfections. You may think that it is a mistake, but she intentionally leaves those inperfecrions and successfully combines them with stencil shapes to brake the patern and add uniqueness to the piece.
Eclectic dreams is created with mostly vibrant colors full of life, youth, rebelion, hope and victory. Almost flueorescent tones of yellow and lime green, soft purple - all combined with cadmium red, juicy and vibrant. Eclectic piece, full of life that seems to brake the rules.

Icelandic painter Jelena Antic's work has been exhibited throughout Serbia, Iceland, and the United States. Antic works in acrylic and sometimes spray paint to create series inspired by subjects ranging from the Icelandic glacial rivers to metaphysics. Antic paints very quickly, so she often works in diptychs so she can continue working on the same idea while the paint of the first work dries. Antic's works are bright, conceptual, and often involve abstract patterns.
