About this artwork

This painting is a part of her latest exhibition (series) Metaphysics. Exhibition was dedicated to the science that finds an order in randomness and abstraction, and she was creating works that are moving away from classic painting with brush strokes. Instead of just painting with a brush Antic was using stencils, lines and grids in order to bring her works to a new level, to give it some kind of order but combine it with her recognizable expression… and brush moves.
For this one she used bold brush strokes, rich with paint. Then she was adding drawing lines, but with stencil and spray to make a contrast with brush paint and also to create a net over the painting - it serves as a new layer.
Painting is framed with thin edge wooden frame in natural wooden color that complements the painting and match every type of interior, especially modern.
It comes with a hanging string on the back, ready to hang on the wall.

Icelandic painter Jelena Antic's work has been exhibited throughout Serbia, Iceland, and the United States. Antic works in acrylic and sometimes spray paint to create series inspired by subjects ranging from the Icelandic glacial rivers to metaphysics. Antic paints very quickly, so she often works in diptychs so she can continue working on the same idea while the paint of the first work dries. Antic's works are bright, conceptual, and often involve abstract patterns.
